I would like to write about my criticism of the company or organization I belong to.
People with an authoritarian sense of management tend to think that it is ridiculous to tolerate people who criticize the organization. However, regardless of the Showa and Heisei eras, such management was not acceptable in the Reiwa era.
Google's People Analytics team concluded that "psychological safety" is the most important factor in being a high-performing organization.
Psychological safety is the assurance that if you say what you think, the organization will accept it.
It means that everyone can send out criticism, and the organization must accept it.
However, I don't think it's okay to criticize anything. I think there are good and bad criticisms in criticism.
Everyone has complaints and criticisms
How many people are in a particular company or organization and have no complaints or criticisms at all?
I think there are almost none.
Now that the self-restraint at dinner parties due to Corona has been prolonged, I can no longer see it, but when I went to a pub at night, it was a daily occurrence to see office workers saying bad things about their company and bosses and relieving stress.
What are those people doing now? I wonder if Imadoki is venting at an online drinking party. Laughter
**No organization is perfect. **
If the management and rules of the organization are set so that they are not sharp, the overall organization will be mediocre and uninteresting. There will always be complaints that it is boring.
However, if you operate with characteristics, there will always be people who don't like it.
After all, no matter what kind of organization you operate, there will be a lot of dissatisfaction and criticism.
Criticism is that there are hated criticisms and welcomed criticisms
I myself have criticized many companies and organizations in the past, and now I am in a position to receive criticism from employees.
I have experienced both and have come to understand a little.
That is, there are criticisms that are just hated and criticisms that are not welcomed.
What is Welcome Criticism
Let's think about what kind of criticism is welcome, not only the content of the criticism, but also the way it is criticized.
(1) As a premise, there is organizational love In the first place, words for objects you don't like tend to contain thorns, and they tend to have a somewhat unpleasant nuance. If there is love in the base, that will not happen.
(2) If possible, by name The reason is that when you try to understand the content of the criticism more deeply, you often can't follow it if you are anonymous. If it is a name, you can talk in depth or explain it directly if there is a misunderstanding.
(3) Words should not be rude There are many people who say things that are as disgusting as possible to attack the other person. The level is low, and even if such criticism hits the mark, it may not be taken up, so nothing good for anyone.
By the way, a long time ago, I would like to introduce the criticism that I hated the most in an anonymous survey of Colorkrew (hereinafter referred to as "Karakul").
There was something like this in the response to a questionnaire about the spirits of Karakul. "Family Kizuna is only good friends, isn't it?"
This person must have felt unfair to the company. If you wanted to make me feel the most disgusting, it's the right way to write. Laughter
This kind of throwaway writing is often not good. It lowers your own level as a person.
Even if it's anonymous, you want to remember to be polite.
(4) Constructive things Constructive criticism is welcomed if you stand firmly against the criticism rather than criticism for the sake of criticism or just swearing, and the organization will move in a good direction.
(5) There is a proposal for an alternative Criticism that is not only bad but also includes a proposal to "should be done this way" is often worth discussing.
You can think of all criticism that is not welcomed and hated as the opposite.
What did you think? Let's continue to criticize more and more constructively in order to improve your company and organization!
