Hello! This is Koshiba from the Human Resources & Branding Project!

This project interviews people who work at Colorkrew, "Colorkrewer".

This time, we interviewed Mr. Ichihashi, a reliable salesperson at Mamoru Biz, a business concierge tool that reduces nameless work.

I talked about sales, the team, and what I think is important in my work.

Koshiba: Hello Mr. Ichihashi! First of all, can you tell us about Colorkrew's sales?

Ichihashi: Yes. Colorkrew's sales basically sell anything! However, if I leave it alone, it will be biased, so I have decided on the main project I am involved in. It's like focusing on the main thing while selling other things.

Koshiba: If you want to sell anything, you need to understand all the services, so it seems difficult.

Ichihashi: In my case, Mamoru Biz is my main focus, but even when it doesn't stick to the audience much, I can approach it from various perspectives, so the possibilities expand. This kind of approach is what Mr. Koizumi is good at.

Koshiba: Even if you say sales, everyone has their own style.

Ichihashi: That's right. No matter how hard I try, I am myself, so I am doing it while making use of my strengths. In my case, the characters are quite ordinary, but I think their strengths are their ease of conversation, speed, and politeness.

Koshiba: That's already origami! Mr. Ichihashi used to work in human resources and general affairs, and since then, I still think he is an easy-to-talk and attentive person. When dealing with Mr. Ichihashi, you can talk about anything.

Ichihashi: Thank you. lol Just like in human resources, listening skills are important. Also, because I used to work in human resources and general affairs, I understand the feelings of customers well. Mamoru is also a service for corporate people, so I think it is my strength to be able to empathize with customers, be close to them, and think ahead of time.

"UPGRADE with TOKYO" where challenges lead to results

Koshiba: By the way, Colorkrew has been recommending remote work for about a year, but do you also work from home?

Ichihashi: Yes, it's a basic web business negotiation, so you can complete it at home. I think it will be easier for the members who are currently on childcare leave to come back.

Koshiba: That's good.

Ichihashi: However, it is precisely because of such a situation that it is increasingly important to be able to think and act on your own.

Koshiba: It's not limited to sales, but people who can run on their own rather than passively are active in Colorkrew.

Ichihashi: You won't be told to "don't do this", so you can try more and more things that you think are good and share them on Goalous.

Koshiba: Because it's flat, there is no unnecessary hierarchy for decision-making.

Ichihashi: Actually, I applied for "UPGRADE with TOKYO" (a pitch event for startups sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government) with the intention of doing it myself.

Koshiba: That's right! I was surprised to see a post saying "I won" on Goalous in the blink of an eye. Laughter

Ichihashi: It was less than a month from the time I applied to the championship. I had reported on the progress on Goalous, but I didn't report directly to Mr. Nakamura (the representative of Colorkrew).

Koshiba: After winning the championship, the people at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government are also using Mamoru Biz, right?

Ichihashi: Right now, we have them use it for the purpose of renting and managing Wi-Fi, monitors, and other items, and keeping a history of shared spaces for corona countermeasures. In the future, it will become a free address for effective use of space, and we plan to have Mamoru Biz used there as well.

In the materials of Governor Koike's press conference, Mamoru Biz appeared as an example.

Koshiba: I'm happy to win, and I'm happy that you're taking advantage of it!

Ichihashi: When I usually get an order, I think it's thanks to everyone, not just me, but I can say that I took it on my own, so I'm happy in that sense.

Anticipating customer requests from the perspective of human resources and general affairs

Koshiba: What is the good thing about the Mamoru team from Mr. Ichihashi's point of view?

Ichihashi: After all, the speed of development is fast, mainly with Jan in mind. When I say I want to develop a new function, it's not only flat, so the speed of decision-making is fast, but it's also very reliable because it's fast.

Koshiba: New features are being added more and more.

Ichihashi: But it's simple. As the number of functions increases, there are quite a few services that are convenient but cluttered, but Mamoru Biz is simple with smartphones and QRI'm doing it so as not to break that part.

Koshiba: I see. By the way, will the new function be developed in a way that meets the needs of customers?

Ichihashi: That's also true. We have weekly team meetings where we share feedback from our customers. We share what kind of companies are looking for what kind of functions in the background, and then decide what to do with this schedule.

Koshiba: Not all of the customer's requests will be passed, right?

Ichihashi: Yes, we don't receive all requests from customers in the first place. Sometimes they refuse if they don't do it as a policy, and sometimes they suggest that this kind of operation can be realized even if there is no function. On the other hand, if you think this feature is absolutely necessary, you will convince your team members.

Koshiba: Do you sometimes make requests yourself?

Ichihashi: Of course! In order to provide good service, I think it is important to think ahead while listening to the voices of customers. I always want to do work that exceeds expectations, but instead of developing after being asked by a customer, I want to be able to say, "I already have that function!" That's why I think every day about whether it will be used in this way in the future, and whether this kind of function is essential for customers of this size.

Koshiba: You're also very involved in service creation.

Now that you have heard a lot of good points, can you tell us about the challenges of Mamoru from Mr. Ichihashi's point of view?

Ichihashi: I think we haven't been able to collaborate with the global team. I can't follow up with the local sales team in Brazil. There is a time difference, but I want to get more involved and work together, and I want to expand globally.

Koshiba: I'm studying English.

Ichihashi: Yes! The Mamoru team has meetings in English, but it's also essential for communication with the global team. I try to get up around 5 a.m. and study for an hour, and then set aside time for a total of 3 hours every day, including during lunch break and after work.

Koshiba: Wow! Don't you want to run away? Laughter

Ichihashi: In order to achieve results, you have to be prepared to do it and push it.

Koshiba: That's stoic! Why do you continue to work at Colorkrew?

Ichihashi: I don't get tired of it, and I think there are still things I can do.

Koshiba: What do you mean?

Ichihashi: I moved from human resources to sales, and I was able to introduce various products, starting with Kuramane (cloud management service), and now I am involved not only in selling but also in brushing up on services. I don't get tired of what I'm doing changing more and more.

Koshiba: It's great that you can enjoy the change.

Ichihashi: Also, I think I can still grow, and I think there is potential for Mamoru Biz and Colorkrew, so I want to become a driver and make a breakthrough while working with everyone.

Koshiba: I can't take my eyes off Mr. Ichihashi as he continues to evolve!

Thank you very much for talking to us today!
