On December 1, 2021, Colorkrew (hereinafter referred to as "Carakul") renewed its vision.
"Color Your Work with Excitement" makes **every day of the person who works more exciting. Make your life more fulfilling and colorful. **
With this in mind, a new vision was born.
Vision Project Again
Since I came to Karakul in 2010, this is the third time that the vision has been renewed.
The first was in 2011. At that time, Karakul (ISAO, the old company name at the time, later unified as Karakul) was almost a BtoB business company, but we created this vision with the desire to become a company that makes an impact on the world with our own products.
**"From Japan! **
Hundreds of millions of users inevitably contain a global desire to transcend Japan and reach the world.
By the way, at that time, it was a 100% Japanese team. As for the product, there was not even a developer who could make a smartphone app. Sweat
The next renewal was in 2016.
I brushed up on it to clarify what kind of area I want to change the world.
"A visionary company that makes the world's scholars happy"
Over the next five years, we have used OKR+ to create communication that enhances team strength, and "Mamoru Biz" to eliminate nameless work " and other products.
In 2016, the last renewal, even though it was called "world", most of the team was Japanese.
Most of the users were also Japanese customers.
And now.
The team is multinational, and all products are multilingual.
We have also started a base in Brazil, and the number of customers outside of Japan is rapidly increasing.
The team has gone global, the product has changed from before, and the company name has changed.
The company name has been changed to Colorkrew!
"Enjoy the world's..." is not bad. However, "fun" alone does not fully express the meaning of work in life.
And the desire to change it to something that reflects who we are now welled up again.
Japanese and English Problems
There was another challenge in the previous vision.
The Japanese word is "Let's Go Inspire The World", but in English, it is "Let's Go Inspire The World".
I didn't translate it with the meaning of Japanese, and it became a catchphrase that was just momentum.
I wanted to make it a vision that firmly incorporates our intentions in English.
At first, I was trying to create Japanese and its corresponding English.
However, when it comes to two languages, the meaning and atmosphere inevitably change subtly.
However, if you only use English, it can become a difficult word, and it is difficult for people to understand it in Japan, which is our base. . .
At Bali Flat Karakul, you can participate in any project if you want to.
Even if a candidate thinks "This is it!", various opinions will come out. At the end of each time, I was like, "Hmm, it's not good," and more than three months after starting the project went by in the blink of an eye.
In such a situation, the branding leader, Dahara, responded to this challenge with brilliant leadership.
"Let's use COLOR!"
"That's it!" was unanimously comfortable, and it was the moment when the new vision was decided.
It expresses the essential fun of work, which is unique and not just "fun", and has a vision that can be used in Japan without Japanese.
Caracle is committed to evolving into a global team that is more diverse and inclusive, and to making the work of those who use its products colorful and exciting.
In addition to the renewal of VISION, we have also released the "Culture Deck" to help people better understand the values and corporate culture that Team Caracle values.
