The love system changed the face of the office in an instant! ? The secret story of "reception app development"
Translated from 日本語 • View original

Hello! This is a branding project.

I'm working from home almost every day now, but when I came to the office for the first time in a while, there happened to be someone I had been wanting to talk to for a long time.

Quick interview settings!

So, this time, I interviewed Mr. Kojima, who is in charge of the information system that developed Colorkrew's cool reception app!

20 years of company experience! Love system, Mr. Kojima's this and that

reception_app

Harada: It's a sudden interview, but thank you for your time today!

Kojima: No, no, this is it!

Harada: Before talking about "reception app development" that I have been wanting to hear about for a long time, I would like to ask you a little about your personal history.

Kojima: Is it a personal history? Where should I start? For the time being, I **wonder if I will be the oldest person in Karakul. **I wonder if Mr. Nishimura was the only one who was before me? When.

Harada: Oh, what! So, **you're a 20-year player! **

Kojima: That's right.

Harada: Were you in charge of the emotional system from that time?

Kojima: That's right. At that time, there was no department called Information System, but there were one or two people in each business department who maintained the machines, and most of them were engineers.

I happened to be good at fixing computers, so I was working in that kind of position.

Harada: I see. Does that mean you've been working in the same company for 20 years?

Kojima: That's right. My family once said, "My brother is more suitable for doing things in one place than doing various things."

Harada: You're single-minded!

Kojima: I mean, single-mindedly. Maybe you're the type who hates change.

Harada: Huh!? But in the ISAO* era, there were many changes at the level of changing companies, didn't they?

*Company name changed from ISAO to Colorkrew on June 1, 2020

Kojima: That's right. There were many changes in the company, but I don't think there were many major changes in myself. So this time, I raised my voice and said**, "I'll do it!"** It's a great change in myself...

Harada: You mean the development of the reception app, right?

Kojima: Yes. There was a person who was originally in charge of developing this reception app, but this development was suspended halfway through.

However, I was interested in what my predecessor was doing, and I was told what it was like to make it. I wanted to combine what he wanted to do with my own ideas and complete it.

Harada: I see. So you decided to take on the challenge yourself.

Kojima: Yes. I feel like a change has occurred that I don't have in myself.

Harada: Personally, I didn't know much about Mr. Kojima's background, so when I found out that a reception app was being developed, I was surprised, saying, "It's so easy for people to make apps...".

Kojima: Ahaha. To tell you the truth, I started programming when I was a teenager, so I've been writing code for almost 40 years now. Laughter

Harada: 40 years! ? Did you always like games?

Kojima: I liked games, or rather, I simply liked writing code. When I look at the page where the CPU is explained, it's so interesting that I can kill time for 2 or 3 hours.

Harada: Huh... I feel the difference from my brain again...... Laughter

What I could see because I was called at the reception desk

reception_app

Harada: I would like to ask you more about the development of the reception app.

Kojima: In the first place, I was the one who maintained the reception table. Of course, I think everyone thought it was, but I always thought that it didn't look like an IT company receptionist and that it was not cool.

Harada: **Even though it's an IT company! **It certainly wasn't cool. Laughter

Kojima: Also, I happened to be tinkering with a voice recognition program on a different matter. Wouldn't it be nice to **attach this to the reception app? **That's what I thought.

Harada: I see. So the idea you originally thought about separately was useful for this development, right?

It's a good idea to be able to call the reception desk by voice.

Kojima: Thank you.

Harada: I had seen the progress of this development in Goalous Action, and I had the image that it was completed at a tremendous speed.

reception_app Share the progress of app development with everyone on the in-house SNS "Goalous"! [/caption]

Kojima: Maybe that's because before making the reception app, I made a prototype a month or two in advance.

reception_app

Harada: Oh, was that so? Did you prepare in advance before the voice from the company came up?

Kojima: There was something I wanted to try out in my mind, so I was working on it personally. That prototype is the prototype of the current reception app.

During development, we stumbled upon unexpected requests. But I can't stop being excited

reception_app

Harada: Are there any difficulties in this development?

Kojima: Yes, there is. In fact, there was one point that I started working on without deciding on the specifications.

I had incorporated what I had heard about it, but when I was asked to include illustrations of everyone's caricatures, I suddenly started assembling it without thinking about how to embed it as data.

I stumbled there about twice and had to remake it.

Harada: I see. However, I thought it would be nice to be able to search with illustrations of employees that were easy to understand.

Kojima: That's right. I didn't expect to include illustrations. This was a blind spot.

Harada: But it looks like it's a lot of fun even though you're talking about your hardships. Laughter

Kojima: No. To be honest, it was a lot of **fun to develop. **

Harada: I really like it.

Kojima: Yes, development is really fun. Programs are language, aren't they? It's the work of teaching computers what they want them to do and what they shouldn't.

Harada: It seems like you are educating something. Laughter

Kojima: That's really how it is. But the most interesting thing about it is that if the user tries to do something strange, you can block it ahead of time.

Harada: What do you mean?

Kojima: If you don't take measures, the program will usually stop working, so you can hold it down and get ahead of it and **say, "Don't do that~"**I enjoyed being able to set up a mechanism ~ (・∀・) grin

Harada: That means that programmers have to assume all the good and bad things in order to crush the movements of such people and their possibilities, right?

Kojima: Hmm. What do you think? There are normal systems and abnormal systems in computers, and I think that people who can program can first understand what kind of abnormal systems exist before normal systems. If you can see one road from there, you can make it with a dada dada?

Harada: I see~. I don't feel like I can see normal or abnormal systems for the rest of my life. Tears

It's an emotional system. Expand the territory with your own hands

reception_app

Harada: How do you feel about yourself after working in the emotional system so far?

Kojima: Personally, I don't think the work of emotional system is inherently suitable.

Harada: Why do you think so?

Kojima: I'm actually not good at tasks that are decided from corner to corner. There will be some mistakes.

However, when a program wants to achieve this kind of result, there are countless ways to achieve it.

We will think about these areas and implement efficient ones.

If it is correct, the program will run. If you make a mistake, it won't work. It's very easy to understand, and that's what makes it fun.

So, if you can make a strict decision like "this ×× uses the library's 〇〇 functions in a △△ way...", like micromanagement, it will be a wow. Laughter

I'm selfish, but Karakul is a very fun workplace because it allows free means.

Harada: I see. It would be nice if Mr. Kojima could shine like this challenge and have fun and contribute to more and more areas! Karakul is a good evaluation of people who take on challenges!

"I wonder if something like this could happen!"

reception_app

Harada: You also won an Award* for this app development, how was it?

[What is Award****Announcement]

Every six months, > Colorkrew_ selects and honors people who have performed __Award__wonderfully every six months. Depending on your level, you will receive additional bonuses of MVP +2 months, Gold +1 months, Silver 0.5 months, and Bronze _+0.2 months. _

Kojima: That's right. I didn't do anything particularly amazing this time. However, thanks to my predecessor, I was able to see what I needed to do, and I think it went quite smoothly.

For me, I'm like, "I wonder if something like this will happen!" Laughter

Harada: What is that?! What a cool word.

Kojima: It's my motto. It's the words of a certain anime character.

In order to say these words, you have to prepare steadily for them, and when they hit at the right time, it's insanely cool. That's why I like this word.

Harada: Well, I see~. (A quote from an anime... I wonder what it is... Is it a famous guy? ? Search search...)

Kojima: I think it's something that engineers would like to say at least once.

Harada: It doesn't seem easy to be able to anticipate and prepare things that people will think, "I wish I had something like this," but it's important.

Kojima: There are many things that come off. Laughter

I'm making things that are useless to death.

Harada: But because I have such a useless experience, I can multiply and combine things that I don't need or useless, like this time.

Kojima: That may be true.

Harada: Will you be involved in development in the future?

Kojima: That's right. I would like to take on the challenge of both myself and the developer.

I also talk to my coach, Mr. Yoshioka, and I want to expand my field even more.

Mr. Yoshioka can give me opinions from a sales perspective, so I am very grateful that he gives advice from a new perspective, rather than a rigid way of looking at him as the same engineer or intelligence system.

Harada: I see. That's the good thing about Karakul's coaching system.

Kojima: No. I really think Karakul's coaching system is amazing.

Harada: Well, I'm looking forward to Mr. Kojima's next challenge!

Kojima: Oh, it's been a long time since you had harassment? lol But I'm going to try my best to challenge myself! Thanks!

Harada: Thank ♪ you for the interview today, finally! The answer to the motto is "Space Battleship Yamato"! ? (Doya)

Kojima: Yes, that's right! Laughter
