Hello, this is Tajima, who joined ISAO as a new graduate from an intern. A variety of new graduate training is available for new employees at ISAO. (By the way, the training period for new graduates is about 2 months, but the training itself is basically only in the morning.) Therefore, you can learn new things in the morning and do on-the-job work in the afternoon, so you can take on practical challenges as soon as you join the company. )
The content of the training is not only about the company, but also about the way of thinking and basic behaviors to become a professional person. As part of this new employee training, I have participated in the "DISCOVERY" training for new employees sponsored by Franklin Covey Japan Co., Ltd. I really learned a lot, and there were several times when I unconsciously said, "Wow." This time, I will introduce my observations from this "DISCOVERY" in two parts, with Takumi, who is the only synchronizer!
There is no point in just participating in it
What you need to be careful about when receiving training and input is to avoid a situation where you are only interested in learning. To avoid this situation, it is important to "input while thinking". The following three things were done before participating in the training to "input while thinking".
- I decide to write a blog (to be more conscious of input after deciding to produce output)
- Input prior knowledge (to deeply understand the training content)
- Be willing to speak up or ask questions (to be willing to participate)
As a result, by preparing these things in advance, I was able to participate with high motivation and learn a lot.
Training Content
"Personality" is not just about "ability"

Do you know the book "Seven Habits"? "The Seven Habits" is one of the world's most famous books on personal development. DISCOVERY focuses on the first habit, "independence", and you can learn about "personality" to continue to produce results in your work. In addition, the goal of this training is not to be taught, but to become aware of it yourself (= discovery).
"Dependence", "Independence", and "Mutual Cooperation"

The growth process of personality includes "dependence", "independence", and "mutual cooperation".
Dependence: Passive, not having one's own will Independence: Being proactive, but satisfied within the scope of self-sufficiency Mutual cooperation: Being independent and being able to involve those around oneself These three include:
Point : There is a difference in difficulty, but the difference in importance is small, and it can be used well depending on the TPO.
Example: Astronaut's "dependence" When a rocket had a problem with the aircraft while flying in space, the astronauts did not make any suggestions or make decisions on their own, but only followed the instructions of the management team on Earth. This is the right action to take quick and accurate treatment.
**Even at work, it is important to correctly judge "situations where to rely on, situations to do alone, and situations to cooperate". **
Doubt Your Paradigm

Personality growth requires a "paradigm shift".
Paradigm: The way you see things, the patterns you imagine Paradigm shift: When you gain new information or understanding, your side changes.
Point: Everyone perceives things differently, but wonder if you can see things differently.
Example: "Paradigm Shift" of a person on a train There was a child who didn't pay attention to the children being noisy on the train. A person gets frustrated and talks to his parents, and they say, "My mother died an hour ago." At that moment, the feeling of irritation turned into sympathy. (Paradigm shift)
There are other reasons for this example: ・The parent had a hearing impairment and didn't notice it, it looked like a parent and child, but it was actually unrelated, and they just bothered it because they hated children. **Even at work, if you are conscious of looking at things from multiple perspectives, you may come up with groundbreaking ideas. **
Autonomous allows you to control your reactions

It is not independence, but "autonomy".
Autonomy: To act while regulating oneself according to one's own discipline, eliminating control and constraints from others.
Point: Don't react to external stimuli as they are, and control your emotions and behavior.
Example: The "autonomy" of a troubled nurse In a hospital, there was a patient with a very bad attitude (irritation) and a nurse who was worried (reactive). The nurse decided to put a cushion between the stimulus and the reaction and gently snuggle up to the patient who was not depressed. (Self-discipline)
**Even at work, I want to have a strong sense of my will and avoid a situation where I feel depressed and unable to move my hands just because there is a problem. **
Are you doing it? Are you doing?
This training was a training that had a lot of "DISCOVERY" that is important for future work.
It's a waste to just "know" what you've learned. What I learned led me to "do" something, and it can be said that there is a meaning I learned for the first time.
In order to be able to say "I'm doing", I first need to "do", but to be honest, I think I still don't understand it, so I'll actually read "7 Habits". (I think that writing this blog is also an organization of knowledge.) )
Another "DISCOVERY"
There was another important discovery other than the content of the training. **It is the existence of synchronization. ** After the first day of training, we continued to discuss the content of the training until we returned to the company to participate in the employee social gathering. The conversation was many times more exciting and fun than the team discussions we had during the training.
Takumi is so interesting that he "declares a rival" at the entrance ceremony.
So, the first day of this training was also the day I was convinced that these two people would be able to grow while improving each other.
Next is ISAO's new graduate external training "DISCOVERY" written by such a good rival, Takumi, #2をぜひお読みください!
