When I received the job offer, I was more surprised than happy.
In an unexpected situation, I called the agent to confirm again what was expected of me and whether I could meet my expectations.
About an hour later, I was suddenly interviewed again.
At that time, Mr. Nakamura said a word with a smile,
"Mr. Torigoe, it's better to come to Colorkrew, because it's definitely more fun than an audit firm!"
That's right, so I decided to join the company.
However, I was worried that there was a blank after retiring from my previous job and that I had no experience in the industry.
I tried to prepare as much as I could before joining the company, and I tried to work at the computer for 8 hours a day, assuming that I was working, but by the time it was time for a snack at 3 o'clock, my head was spinning...
I remembered that working is hard.
Colorkrew's business and industry knowledge is continuously worked on, starting with the orientation after joining the company, and receiving advice on how to acquire knowledge from a coach (Colorkrew has a coaching system that allows you to freely choose who to consult with about your career within the company).
Remote Work from Niigata
Well, as mentioned above, I usually work remotely from Niigata Prefecture.
And when I need to come to work for work, I go to Tokyo.
Recently, I have been visiting the office about 1~2 times a month to respond to audits and monthly financial statements.
I was hired on the premise of remote work, but if I don't have the opportunity to come to the office for work, I think it's unique to Colorkrew that I can say that I don't mind coming to the office regularly for communication purposes.
People say that it seems difficult to get used to changing jobs and working remotely, but in reality, I was able to join the team quite smoothly.
Reason 1 for getting used to it easily
The first is that you are not the only one working remotely.
Since February 2020, Colorkrew has been recommending remote work throughout the company to prevent infection, so not only me, but most members of the company are working remotely every day.
I'm used to remote communication (?) As the members taught me the tips of web conferencing, I was gradually able to get to know each other.

The second is the support of the surroundings.
After joining the company, I had interviews with the coach more than once a week.
I was grateful that there was a place where I could feel free to consult when I was in doubt.
Also, when I was asked, "Why don't you try talking to the project leader to get to know Colorkrew?", I had the opportunity to talk with various members.
If you suddenly find it difficult to talk to me, I'll set up a meeting! It was also reassuring to see the coaches and human resources people say.
In this way, I was able to talk to various people at an early stage while getting support from those around me.

What to keep in mind in the office
Finally, I would like to introduce what I keep in mind on the days when I go to the office.
On days when I come to the office, I try to talk to as many people as possible.
For this reason, I choose a seat where there are a lot of people and it seems easy to talk to me.
If someone heads towards the coffee machine, I will go with it.

In this way, little by little, I have the opportunity to talk face to face.
Challenges Ahead
Currently, I am working with people on the business side to think about KPI, analyze using Power BI, and work on challenging issues such as overseas personnel systems.
By the way, this is my first time using Power BI, but I am grateful for the environment where I can receive lectures from in-house professionals.
Until now, I have mainly worked in accounting, but I would like to aim to become a professional who can contribute to the business itself.
The other is the challenge of going global.
The human resources are global, and we are able to work with 15 overseas members in 10 countries, excluding Japan.
On the other hand, I also feel that the globalization of business is still a long way off.
I don't think about products and marketing strategies, but I think the good thing about Colorkrew is that it makes me seriously think about what I need to do to succeed in overseas business.
