Nice to meet you!
I joined the company in April this year and work as a system monitoring engineer at Colorkrew (the woman on the right in the photo).
After graduating from university, I worked as a pet animal nurse at a veterinary hospital for about a year.
As for my work, I was involved in all nursing work that supports the health of animals, such as assisting veterinarians in medical examinations and surgical assistants.
The reason why I decided to change jobs now was the "inefficiency" I felt at the hospital site. The culture and information sharing that we still record by hand are analog, and I was confused every day.
One day, I had the opportunity to come into contact with electronic medical records introduced at other hospitals, and I felt the potential for IT to actually improve the efficiency of my work, and I became interested in the profession of engineer!
What does the monitoring team actually do?
The monitoring team I belong to monitors alerts when something goes wrong with the system. The system has a standard (threshold) that says, "It's dangerous if you go this far," and if it exceeds that, an alert email will automatically fly.
After confirming the alert, we proceed with the response according to the established procedure, but depending on the situation, we may contact the operation engineer or share it with external stakeholders, and we may proceed while working together as a team.
In addition, when I feel that "this procedure manual may be a little difficult to understand" or "I think I can make it a little more efficient here!" while working, I actively propose improvements. I believe that it is an important role of the monitoring team to reflect the voices of the monitoring site and create an environment where everyone can work comfortably.
The atmosphere of Colorkrew that I felt (drinking parties, etc.)
One of the reasons I decided to join Colorkrew was the atmosphere during the interview. I remember that the interviewer was very easy to talk to and I was able to relax and talk. I thought I could work here with peace of mind.
When I actually joined the company, I found that the employees were really kind and felt free to ask me if I didn't understand anything. Not only about work, but also about work styles was well accepted, and there were times when we actually made improvements.

There are also many in-house events, especially the "Company Party" that welcomes new employees. It is held about twice a month, and as a welcome to new employees, everyone enjoys take-out meals and plays darts and Switch, and a peaceful time flows.
In addition to that, when I call out to them when I want to go out for a drink, many of the members are happy to respond, and I feel the good relationship on a daily basis. Recently, I had the opportunity to go to a beer festival with my company members, and I had a meaningful and enjoyable time where I could enjoy delicious beer and talk about my work.
Talking about the CI meeting at the end of the month

I participated in a discussion with the internal CI (Cloud Integration) team at the end of the month. The theme of this time was "How to improve the monitoring team?", and we all looked back on our work and discussed areas for improvement.
We were divided into three groups, and we wrote down what we felt when we actually entered the shift on sticky notes, and brainstormed by freely listing "good things" and "things that were a little troublesome".
As we grouped the contents, we naturally began to see common issues and trends.
For example, there were voices saying that "I get impatient when I get a lot of alerts," but there were also scenes where the conversation developed into more essential issues, such as the anxiety of "not knowing when to escalate" was rooted in it.
In this way, it was a very interesting and meaningful time to verbalize and organize each member's sensory concerns, which led to specific improvement measures.
I was also able to exchange opinions with members who don't usually have many opportunities to talk, and I feel that the sense of unity as a team has increased even more.
Finally!
As someone who entered the IT industry with no experience, obtaining a cloud certification was a very important step. At Colorkrew, we have a set set goal of "I will definitely get it by this day!" because it is determined which qualifications to take and when, which leads to motivation.
What I am grateful for is that my mentor also advises me as I grow, saying, "You should get this qualification at this time." It is planned to gradually acquire the knowledge necessary for surveillance work, and I feel that what I have learned is useful in the field.
Through acquiring qualifications, I have expanded my knowledge of IT in general, and I have become able to speak confidently when making proposals to improve work efficiency. Also, in responding to alerts, I have been able to respond calmly to more situations as I have acquired knowledge, and I am gradually feeling my growth!
