Introduce Yourself
This is Kawai, a new graduate in our own product sales. It's been three months since I joined the company. I would like to talk about how I met Colorkrew, what kind of three months I spent, and how I found what I wanted to do as a salesperson for Colorkrew.
Before joining the company -Job hunting period-
In May of my third year of university, when I started looking for a job, I didn't think I would go into sales. Originally, my dream was to become a reporter, and I decided to live my life on the axis of "I want to improve my resolution to the world and help people who lose money without knowing it." However, as a result, that dream has not come true. This is because I listened to the stories of reporters who actually worked and participated in internships at newspaper companies, but I heard the real thing and became intimidated by the industry. I received a scouting email via OpenWork from Colorkrew, where I am currently working, when I was thinking about the future.
When I received an email and proceeded to the selection process, I first received a casual interview, but my casual interview was with Dredd HR, Mr. Ishihara. Mr. Ishihara introduced me to Colorkrew's way of working, which is free but continues to take on serious challenges, and that even new graduates can be exposed to the same open company information as the CEO, and I proceeded with the interview, saying, "It's an interesting company." In the second interview, I talked with Mr. Yukawa, the director, and I remember being excited, saying, "If you express your opinion seriously, you will get a serious response." After that, I proceeded to the final interview, and after talking with the representative, Mr. Nakamura, and the newspaper company, I got a job offer from Colorkrew in December.

After that, I worked as a prospective intern from February to the end of July 2023. I learned various things as a white paper creation and sales of our products. From the salary I received during my internship, I bought a road bike that I longed for, and spent 45 days on that road bike around Hokkaido in August. As a student, I decided to do something that only I can do now. On the way, there were times when I dropped my wallet and my entire fortune was 62 yen, but I went around earning money through farming.
3 months as a full-time employee
In the three months since I joined the company, my job has been to "sweat as a salesperson." Approach potential customers wholeheartedly, give them opportunities for business negotiations, and lead to orders. If you are a student with no experience as an office worker, many people may not be able to clearly imagine a sales job. So did I. Although it is only three months of experience, I would like to explain a little about the work of sales that I understand now. For me, I think of sales as a job that brings out potential issues that customers themselves are not aware of and proposes ways to make it easier to work. Especially in SaaS sales, it is a very important factor to bring out the "latent needs of the other party". Although it is claimed to be DX in the world, DX is a means, and what is really important is to achieve the ideals that customers want to realize. Just as Colorkrew's mission is to "Color Your Work with Excitement," the services it develops also focus on providing "more valuable work by eliminating waste."

Contact with customers comes from various places, but the one I have the most opportunities to interact with now is an event called an exhibition to introduce our products and services held at Tokyo Big Sight and other places. Currently, Colorkrew has exhibited at numerous exhibitions and is visited by companies from all walks of life. Looking for a tool that can solve your company's problems, looking for the latest information, etc. We talk to customers, ask them about the purpose of coming to the exhibition and what they are worried about at the company, and suggest that Colorkrew can be useful. You will have a valuable opportunity to experience many small business deals. Issues that arise from customers at exhibitions and business negotiations cannot be solved unless you understand the background of the company or industry, and it is important to make an effort to get to know the other party. My own resolution of society has also increased, and we can help! The reward and fun of being able to propose is unique to sales that are at the forefront.
Conclusion

In just three months, Colorkrew has made me realize a lot. "An environment where you can seriously express your opinion and get your opinion back seriously" is, of course, harsh, but there are many opportunities to think for yourself. In fact, as I mentioned when I came across Colorkrew, I didn't have anything special about "because it's this company". I really want to know that I joined Colorkrew by chance. However, what I can assure you is that you will have no regrets about joining the company. Now I have found a goal as a salesperson to "help customers who are worried about solutions and be appreciated". At a drinking party between my mentor Mr. Suzuki and our customers, I saw my older brother (mentor) being appreciated and realized that I wanted to be like this too.
The above was the story of how Kawai, a new graduate in product sales, met Colorkrew and what kind of three months he spended. This is a bit of an abstract story, but if you are interested, please ask specific questions through the interview. The interviewer will definitely answer.
