Hello, I'm Kusakari, a marketer. The other day, at the office of Bunshodo Co., Ltd. in Ginza, Tokyo, we co-hosted a seminar with Bunshodo × Colorkrew on "How to Create a Functional Office Space Needed in the Future".

The purpose of this seminar is to clarify the problems of difficulty in working in the office on a daily basis and to obtain hints for solutions through Bunshodo's office tours and workshops.

Bunshodo and Colorkrew have held multiple office tours in the past. It will be held in the future, so if you are interested, please contact us.

Part 1: Introducing "Colorkrew Biz", a tool that reduces nameless work, and "Bunshodo", an office builder

Bunshodo, which has a history of more than 100 years in office building, continues to propose new value to "workplaces" and "work styles" and supports customers in increasing the value of "work". In the company introduction, I was asked to explain how we will create new value in the workplace.

In addition, Bunshodo actually uses Colorkrew Biz within the company, and in order to introduce specific ways to use it during the office tour, we introduced an image of using Colorkrew Biz to the participants.

Part 2: Workshop on "Functionally Incompatible Environments"

Before the office tour, we were divided into three groups and conducted a workshop. After a brief self-introduction to the members, they introduced the "functionally inconvenient environment" that the participants felt at their companies, referring to cards with common issues such as "lack of office space" and "difficulty concentrating in the office". In addition, the Free Card allows you to freely write your own issues, which seems to have been a good opportunity to learn about other companies' issues.

This allowed the participants to open up to each other, reaffirm their own work styles, and identify issues based on the opinions of other participants.

Part 3: Office Tour - Bunshodo Office Tour Experience -

Next, we were divided into several groups with a small number of people and conducted a tour of the actual Bunshodo office.

In this Bunshodo office, not only the layout design, stationery, and furniture selection, but also the operation of the system have been put into a lot of ingenuity. We also effectively use Colorkrew Biz to solve these problems in response to the "not knowing who's where" challenge of free addresses.

During the office tour, the staff introduced the ingenuity and commitment to enhancing the "work" value of the Bunshodo office, as well as the office furniture that is actually used. In addition, through the demonstration, we showed how Colorkrew Biz is being used in the office, how to manage seats and meeting rooms, specific examples of visualization, and how to solve the problem of consumable management of borrowed equipment such as books and whiteboard markers with QR codes.

The participants got to know each other at the workshop earlier, and the office tour seemed to be more meaningful than ever before, with participants relaxed and many questions flying around.

Part 4: "How to Create Your Ideal Office" Workshop

In the second workshop, the participants shared ideas for solving problems that they realized through the office tour. The ideas related to the issues identified in the first workshop were divided into soft and hard and pasted on sticky notes. Sticky notes with many ideas were pasted on the paper prepared, and it seems that many problem-solving ideas and realizations were obtained. For example, in response to the issue of "lack of office space", specific ideas such as "first explore the actual situation through a questionnaire on how space such as lockers and cabinets are used" came out.

After that, each group gave a presentation and shared their ideas with the whole group. There were many ideas from different perspectives for each group, and we were able to get many hints from the participants such as "It was a very meaningful workshop" and "I will actually go back to the office and put it into practice!", and we were able to get a lot of hints for holding better office tours in the future.

This was the first time that the workshop was the main project, but it was very well received. We will consider holding the next event. We will continue to hold events that will help participants gain awareness of how to make the office easier to work in. If you are interested in reading this article, please contact us.
