This time, I would like to report on what I noticed while participating in Build.
About Climate
Seattle is located at the same latitude as Minami-Kabata, above Hokkaido. Therefore, the temperature is not very high throughout the year, and even in this May, the temperature was comfortable at 12°C to 24°C. The daylight hours were hot when it came out in the sun, and it was a little cold when it was in the shadows.
It seems that there are 154 days of precipitation a year, and it seems to rain once every 3 days. It rained again today.
About the Venue
Unlike AWS's re:invent, which had multiple hotel venues, Build has two venues. The Sheraton Hotel is located about a 3-minute walk from the Washington State Convention Center, where Keynote was held.
At the Washington State Conference Center, technical sessions, Keynote, and EXPO are the main ones, while Sheraton seems to be mainly technical sessions and workshops.
About the Session
First of all, regarding participation, there was one time when the door was closed and I could not enter a popular session on a first-come, first-served basis. Try to act early for the main session.
Next, regarding the content, as with other events and domestic events, there is a speaker in front of the speaker, and the materials are projected on the monitor. At the time of re:invent, there was a translator and a real-time audio translation app, but I couldn't find it. Instead, in some sessions, if you connect to a dedicated URL, only subtitles in the selected language will be displayed. The level of translation is like the old Google.
If you connect to the URL displayed before the start, only the subtitles of the speakers' presentations will be displayed.
About Rest Areas
It is located on each floor with a session. In addition, there was a plaza in front of the expo venue, and there were various things that could be relaxed and enjoyed, such as sofas with power supply, massage areas, and corners such as TalkShop where you can talk about fixed topics for free. (There was even a place where you could interact with rabbits and ponies.)

Conclusion
It's only the second day, but when I attend the conference there, I realize the difference between Japan and Japan. This is the last day, but I would like to participate in technical sessions, EXPOs, etc. as much as possible to experience new attempts, initiatives, and possibilities.
