First of all, the tape width. This is recommended for 12mm or more. QR codes may not be displayed on tapes narrower than this.
In fact, the 12mm width is a bit subtle, and you have to lower the error correction level of the QR code to the minimum, so be careful as it may be difficult to read the QR on an old smartphone.
However, some devices do not have space to attach (for example, rack-mounted servers or network switches), so be flexible in that case.

The reason why automatic adjustment is not good is because of the specifications of the text label part called "horizontal characters" of SPC10. If you set the tape length to "Auto", it will increase the display width according to the length of the string displayed on it.
It is an SPC10 specification that "prevents the font from being clogged and crushed", but if you place a QR code on the right side of the equipment sticker, the extended text label will overlap the QR and become unreadable.
Conversely, if the tape is fixed length, the length of the display area of the text label will also be fixed length, and long strings will be compressed horizontally and displayed.
Well, consider the length of the characters to be displayed and decide the tape length (how to do so in the next section). If the printed text is crushed and unreadable, it will be the end of the story.

The URL to be a QR code is listed at the end of the row in the spreadsheet-style grid below (the item name is "QR code").
First, click on the column attribute of the item name (it is displayed as "A" by default). It doesn't look like a menu, but the Change Column Attribute menu opens and changes it to [Column Attributes]→ [Barcode]→ [QR Code].
After that, drag the item name and drop it into the template.
A QR code will appear on the layout, right-click to view properties. Modify the parameters in the Settings tab. What is changed is the error correction level. The higher this value, the easier it is to scan successfully, but it increases the display size. Well, it is like you need enough tame to fire a decisive battle weapon.
If the display width is 7% or more on 12mm wide tape, the display width may be too narrow and the QR code may not be displayed. If it is 18mm wide, it can go up to about 25%.
Once you have set the error correction level, correct the position in [Layout]→ [Placement]→ [Tape End]/[Top and Bottom Center].
The text is dragged into the title part of the spreadsheet-style grid and dropped into the tape layout. It's too huge as it is, so change the font size.
The number of points when displaying only one line of text on an 18mm wide label is 36 points. To display 5 lines, the font size for one line is 7.2pt, so set it to 7pt (it cannot be selected in the drop-down menu, but can be changed by typing directly).
Fine-tune the display position by zooming in on the layout with the mouse and cursor keys. The coordinates on the upper left of the display can be numerically specified in the label properties, but for some reason the size cannot be changed. The fact that the end of the label is slightly uneven is charming.
In this example, the department display is two lines. Normally, I should have set the text with line breaks in the "Storage Location" column, but since it seemed that it would be troublesome to handle the data, I used a small trick to separate the department names using the "Storage Location" column and the section names using the "Remarks 1" column.
