At Colorkrew, the word "growth" is often used in everyday communication other than feedback during evaluations.
Did you grow by doing your job? Will I be able to grow through the work I will work on in the future?
What is important for growth outside of work
It is natural to be conscious of growth when working on work. But it's actually important outside of work.
When I am working, I mainly grow while "output". What can you do to grow in other times?
It is... "input".
In order to grow outside of work, you need high-quality input.
Types of Inputs
There are many ways to input.
Research on the Internet or in magazines.
Get trained.
Read books and magazines.
Talk to people.
Of these, the above two are inputs with a clear purpose. The good thing about these is that you can expect immediate input that will directly be effective in solving the problems you are currently facing.
On the other hand, reading books, magazines, and talking to people is not very immediate, but it helps to expand the range of knowledge and awareness.
The difference between reading a book or magazine and talking to a person is that the latter is interactive, while the former is not.
Upgrade and Tsurume!
I wrote "Upper and Smoother" in the title.
What I want to say is that when it comes to talking to people, it's very important whether they are someone who is more experienced than you.
The more people who can do it, the more people who go out for drinks or consult with seniors and bosses who are higher than them when they are young, and try to learn greedily. (By the way, the older one is often older, but there are cases where the younger one is also the older.) )
Of course, as mentioned above, talking to people is part of the means of input, so there are people who can give good input other than that.
However, since talking to people is interactive, the unique advantage is that you can customize the story for yourself, and if possible, you can't avoid using it.
Why don't you want to hang out with a higher rank
It seems to be a good thing, but unfortunately there are many people in the world who don't like it very much. Such people are people of the same level as themselves or hang out with juniors.
Of course, it would be easier to hang out with juniors. If you talk to a higher level, you may be harshly admonished if you say something spoiled, and you have to communicate while standing up with the other person, so it can be said that it is a little troublesome.
Unfortunately, you don't get much from a lower-ranking and easy opponent.
As you get older, your level gradually disappears
I turned 50 last year, but since my late 40s, I have gradually realized that it has become difficult to hang out with seniors who are clearly higher than me. (You will be less scolded)
Even in the company, I have entered the category of quite old, and as I get older, I have fewer and fewer points of contact with higher-ranking people, which are the most effective means of growth. This is very unfortunate.
So I want to say to young people "now".
**Upgrade and Tsurume! **
Especially those in their 20s and 30s who have not yet decided on their growth angle.
By all means, find someone you can respect with experience and talk to about various things. You will surely notice things that you have not noticed before.
It would be great if I could give a lot of good input, and as I grew up, I could become a good "upgrade" and be able to give good input to my juniors.
