I majored in information science at university, and after a six-month internship at Karakul, I am currently working as an infrastructure engineer. Three months have passed in the blink of an eye since I started working as a new graduate.
What changes have you made in yourself in the past three months? And what kind of environment has supported its growth?

Interns
I started my internship at Karakul in September 2024. I started with a three-day workweek.
The training time was only a few hours, and once I learned the bare minimum, such as how to apply for expenses, I immediately started working. The environment where I was involved in practical work from the beginning was very stimulating and I learned a lot.
I was mainly in charge of tasks related to operational efficiency. While I didn't know right or left, I first deepened my knowledge by carefully doing what I was given.
One of the charms of Karakul is the goodness of people. If you have any questions or problems, there is an atmosphere where you can feel free to consult with anyone, and the people around you are friendly and supportive. By actively communicating with the people around me in such an environment, I was able to naturally acquire the basic stance of a member of society, such as how to face things I don't understand and how to proceed with tasks.
I feel that this experience has led to the "ability to work" that can be used no matter what position I am in.
After joining the company
What is required of Karakul employees is an attitude of taking on challenges in every way.
The team atmosphere also welcomes challenges ("taking on challenges and taking on them" may be closer), and if you speak up, those around you will support you.
I myself actively raised my hand to challenge what was required within the company. As a result, in just three months after joining the company, I was able to gain a wide range of experience, from improving internal operational efficiency, being the owner of customer environmental monitoring and operation projects, and being a project manager for the introduction of our own products.
Through various experiences, I realized that I lacked the ability to assert myself.
Due to my personality, there are sections where I do not understand things by myself and understand them in my own way, and because I can only see things within the scope of my own understanding, I can only agree with the opinions of people who have more experience than me (all of them). I thought that if I continued like this, I would just do what I was told, so I consulted with various people at drinking places (I think Karakul's strength is that you can easily go out for drinks with the president and team leaders and listen to their stories).
I will summarize what I learned from listening to various people below.
- When you receive an explanation from someone, ask questions about things you don't understand, even if it's trivial.
- When you are assigned a job, check the purpose and background of the work.
- Explain to others what you understand and get feedback
By being aware of these things and aligning my perceptions with others, I feel that I have acquired the ability to grasp the essence of things and assert my own opinions (although it is still developing).
I have always liked talking to people, and I wanted to come into contact with various values through communication at work.
In my job hunting, I applied for jobs such as sales and engineers, but in the end, I was attracted to the fact that I could make use of the programming skills I had learned and challenge myself to compete with each other in a global environment, so I started my career as an infrastructure engineer at Karakul.
Currently, I feel very rewarded not only to improve my technical skills, but also to have more opportunities to stand at the front desk and interact with customers. However, I have been interested in not only engineering but also other fields such as sales and human resources, and I would like to try my hand at those fields someday.
My current goal is to expand what I can do regardless of position and to acquire diverse values and perspectives.
