Overall Thoughts
As mentioned in the keynote, this year's keywords for Azure were "Choice + Flexibility", "Productivity", and "Enterprise Ready". Especially in infrastructure sessions, the word "Hyper-Scale" came up a lot. Service Fabric, which was announced during the event, is symbolic, but it appeals to the flexibility of using the foundation that supports larger applications.

VM Scale Sets, open source PaaS, and Azure Container Services talk. There are also interesting talks like "Open source PaaS can be on-premise, AWS, or GCP." When I was doing a demo of Cloud Foundry, I was googling without Bing, and it felt really free.
There was also a demo of Azure DevTest Labs. I hadn't followed it, but it seemed to be more practical than I expected, such as being able to incorporate it into the DevTest toolchain and setting a VM policy to automatically stop it at night.
