Good morning from Seattle.
This is Akiyama, an engineer.
We participated in Microsoft Build 2017 held in Seattle on 5/10~12 local time and posted this report from there.
You can watch the Build on Channel9 .
About the Day One Keynote
Without further ado, here's a quick rundown of the keynotes from the first day of Microsoft Build 2017.
Read the Day 2 keynote here, learn about Azure updates here, and get an Azure storage roundup here Please refer to.
Some demos that give you a feel for the future
I don't think it will be conveyed unless you watch the video, so I'll just briefly introduce it.
- Image recognition advances risk prediction in various situations in life. For example, a hospital. A patient who is not feeling well is found and notified by the nurse. For example, a construction site. Administrators are notified when dangerous tools such as chainsaws are left around. It will be possible to authenticate at a detailed level. If you give a specific person permission to use a specific tool, the administrator will be notified just that the other person has the tool.
- Cortana moderates the meeting. Devices are not limited to PCs and smartphones, but Cortana in the car encourages you to join the meeting.
- Teams and Microsoft Graph act as assistants, such as joining meetings as bots and opening materials.
- Device to counteract hand tremors in Parkinson's disease Microsoft researcher creates wearable which smooths handwriting in Parkinson's Disease (video)
Microsoft Azure
There were a lot of Azure announcements that I often use in MSP projects.
Portal Feature - Cloud Shell
The feature has been displayed in the preview environment for some time now, and the production environment has been showing up for a few days. When you start using the feature, you will create and attach a storage account for Cloud Shell in the West US.

Portal Product - Mobile Portal
Microsoft Azure on the App Store Microsoft Azure on GooglePlay It's unlikely that you will be able to create Azure resources in your app, but it will be useful for checking them on the go.
Azure Database Migration Service
Migrate from on-premises SQL Server to SQL Database with near-zero downtime.
It's a solution to facilitate the transition to the cloud.
MySQL & PostgreSQL as a Service
Azure Database for PostgreSQL Azure Database for MySQL
It's in preview, but it's already available. It seems that it cannot be created with the same server name as the server already created in SQL Database.

Cosmos DB
DocumentDB has been renamed and redefined. In addition to DocumentDB, NoSQL DB that can handle MongoDB, Graph, and Table API compatibility seems to be the solution. It's a rare service that defines an SLA for latency.
Custom Vision Service
Some APIs in Cognitive Service can now be customized to fit the service. It's a solution aimed at the middle of the day for vendors who can't do it with regular Cognitive Service but can't do it by building and implementing MachineLearning on their own. Image recognition is a field that requires a lot of knowledge even in machine learning, which is why this service was born.
VisualStudio2017
I used to be a programmer, so I'm also interested in the trend of VisualStudio, which is the most user-friendly IDE (my personal opinion).
VisualStudio snapshot debugging for Azure
To debug services on Azure, you can now take snapshots as if they were breakpoints and later debug based on that information.
VisualStudio for Mac GA
Xamarin-based VisualStudio for Mac is now GA.
Conclusion
The most exciting keynote was the presentation of a device that counteracts hand tremors in Parkinson's disease. Also, Satya Nadella used the word opportunity persistently.
These may be because of Microsoft's mission.
Empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more
We will continue to pay attention to Microsoft, which uses IT to expand the possibilities of people.
