I'm Saeki, an engineer.
This is a summary of the new services and updates announced on the first day of Keynote.
EC2 instance type

- M1 (Big Data-optimized instances)
- 13m (bare metal)

Amazon Elastice Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS)
I thought it would come. You came with a lot of satisfaction. After all, this announcement made the venue the most excited.

The preview version is available today.
AWS Fargate
A service that abstracts container management. It seems that you will be able to manage containers without being aware of each instance hanging on ECS or the Docker running in it. https://aws.amazon.com/jp/blogs/news/aws-fargate-a-product-overview/

It looks like the ECS version will be supported from today and EKS sometime in 2018.
Aurora Multi-Master
AWS Aurora Multi-Region Support

The preview version is available today. GA is scheduled somewhere in 2018.
Aurora Serverless
It is understood as on-demand RDS that supports serverless flows.

The preview version is available today.
DynamoDB Global Table
DynamoDB is fully managed, multi-region.

I'm a GA from today.
Amazon Neputure
Fully managed GraphDB.

The preview version is available today.
S3 SELECT, GLACIER SELECT
The one that allows you to issue queries to the datastore. I don't think I can use it...

I'm a GA from today.
Amazon SageMaker
The one that makes it easier to handle ML. It seems that the hurdles for ML production will be lowered considerably. I want to touch this hit soon.

I'm a GA from today.
AWS DeepLens
Video camera with Deep leaning engine. It seems to integrate with SageMaker behind the scenes.

It seems that it will be sold in amazon.com next year. I wonder when it will be next year.
Amazon Rekognition Video
The one that analyzes the video in real time.

I'm a GA from today.
Amazon Kinesis Video Streams

Amazon Transcribe
The one who transcribes the audio.

The preview version is available today.
Amazon Translate
The service name is the same. Other vendors are also offering Translater, so I'm happy that there is competition in this field. I'm worried about the quality of the translation.

The preview version is available today.
Amazon Comprehend
Fully managed natural language processing engine. Maybe it can be used to collect user voices?

I'm a GA from today.
Conclusion
This year, I have the impression that there are plenty of presentations around containers and ML systems. And since there are many GA services from today, I would like to touch the entrance alone.
After all, this amount is amazing on Day 1 alone! I am looking forward to Day 2 as well.
