From Japan to Las Vegas
We departed from Narita Airport around 17:00 on November 26 and took about 10 hours to San Diego. From there, I changed to Southwest Airlines and arrived in Las Vegas an hour later. I have only traveled abroad to Taiwan, and the 10-hour flight felt very long.

Sessions
The highlight of re:invent is, of course, the announcement of Key Note's new services, but there are also many other highlights outside of Key Note, such as various sessions and booths of companies that provide services and solutions using AWS.
re:invent is called an "educational event". There are many sessions of about 1 hour according to the level of participants, and can be enjoyed by everyone from beginner level to expert people.
On the first day of the event, I participated in a 300-level (intermediate) session.
The session was titled "Alexa, Where's My Car? A Test Drive of the AWS Connected Car Reference」。 Roughly speaking, it was about collecting various data related to vehicles and driving with AWS IoT and turning it into big data. It's exciting to think that the services we usually interact with, such as API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB, are being used for these purposes.

JapanExploring Night
In the evening, I participated in Japan Exploring Night.
I talked to a variety of people, including companies that are usually indebted to us as a company, and companies that are developing services using AWS even if they are not involved in their work. It was a very meaningful time to form a circle of people around AWS and talk about their favorite services there. Two hours went by in the blink of an eye.
