Hello. I'm Yano, who joined as an infrastructure engineer as a new graduate in April. Time flies—it's been three months since I joined the company.
Although I only started three months after joining, I started interning in November 2024, so it has been 1 year and 8 months since I started working at Colorkrew. Even I was surprised at how long it was.
This time, I plan to focus on things that changed during my internship and after joining.

Current Job Description
Currently, we mainly engage in the following types of operations.
- Business Improvement
- Work requested at a spot
- Resale operations
- Responding to customer requests
Regarding "business improvement" and "tasks requested at the spots," this approach continues from the internship.
The two changes were "resale operations" and "handling customer requests."
In 'resale operations,' we arrange items requested by customers and check the amount to be billed to them. Since the work involves money, I was never assigned this task during my internship.
Most of the time, if you follow the procedures, it's fine, but sometimes the steps are a bit hard to read or involve a lot of manual work, which can be tough. So, we're actively working to improve things by proposing things like organizing and automating documentation. I'll definitely do something about it soon.
Colorkrew has a culture that welcomes improvement proposals regardless of age or position, and I feel it's an environment where even new graduates can come up with ideas and take initiatives.
I think the unique fun of Colorkrew is that you can not only handle daily tasks but also turn the issues you notice into improvements.
In "Handling Customer Requests," we participate in specific projects and respond to requests and questions from customers. We mainly handle requests related to Azure.
At first, I knew very little about the customers or Azure, and most of the time, even when I received requests, I didn't know what to do. However, as I researched and verified things myself and received support from those around me, I gradually gained knowledge and experience. Recently, I've been able to handle more requests alone, and I feel my own growth.
Changes in Mindset
Even within the company, people often ask, "Has anything changed since your internship?" but honestly, it hardly has changed.
I think this was largely because I was involved in actual work as an intern for a long time. Since I was involved in practical work from the internship stage and got to know the atmosphere and work style, I was able to naturally transition into work after joining. Also, the knowledge and experience I gained during my internship were often put to good use. Gaining hands-on experience in actual work while still a student was extremely valuable for me.
Of course, during the internship, I was entrusted with tasks I hadn't been in charge of, and I feel that this change is a direct extension of what I had done before. It feels like my areas of responsibility and responsibilities have gradually expanded since my internship days.
If there's one thing I have to think about, it's that working five days a week is tough. It's simply tough. Ah, I already miss my university days when I slept until noon every day...
Recent Goals
My immediate goals are broadly divided into the following two.
- Clarify your vision for the future.
- Gradually acquire technical knowledge.
Since I have only been with the company for three months, I am currently gaining knowledge and skills through various work experiences.
Through actual work, I learned that some careers deeply pursue infrastructure and cloud technologies, while others involve making proposals to customers and solving their problems. Alternatively, it might be a good idea to be involved in the SaaS business.
For that reason, I am currently gaining broad experience while thinking about "what kind of engineer I want to be." First, I want to challenge myself with various tasks, deepen my technical knowledge and experience, grow as an engineer, and discover my strengths and the direction I want to aim for.
I will grow to be more useful to the team, and ultimately work hard to become someone who thinks, 'If I leave it to this person, it will work out somehow.'

I think it's a great environment for those interested in cloud infrastructure and security who want to learn hands-on by hand.
