In previous articles, we covered Azure Cognitive Services in general. This time, I would like to introduce the visual field service, the content of the service, and the billing system that you are interested in.
You can try the service you want to try from the URL below, so please access it. Hands on with AI
What is Azure Cognitive Services Visual Discipline?
As previously introduced, in the field of vision, you can mainly understand (analyze) images. For example, you can: - Determining whether the image is a dog or a cat - Detecting what was bought and how much from the receipt image - Detecting the company's logs in the image
Services in the Visual Field
There are three services in the field of vision.
Computer Vision
Computer Vision can automatically determine what is in an image, such as text, people, and objects, from images and videos. For example, you can enter an image of a whiteboard used in a meeting to recognize the characters on the board, or an image of an office to detect people and objects in the image, such as the position of a table, chair, laptop, or person. Billing System
Computer Vision's billing system is pay-as-you-go and pre-booking for what you use. Detection from a single image is defined as one transaction and is charged based on the number of transactions. With pay-as-you-go billing, you are charged every 1000 transactions. For pre-bookings, there is a flat rate up to a minimum of 500,000 transactions, followed by an additional fee for every 1,000 transactions thereafter. You can increase the number of quotas available at a fixed rate according to the scale of use.
Custom Vision
Custom Vision can detect whether a particular object is in the image, or if so, where it is. It is similar to Computer Vision, but the main difference is that Custom Vision allows you to learn what you want to detect on its own. While Computer Vision uses a detection model prepared by Microsoft, Custom Vision allows users to create and use a detection model by training images on their own. For example, it can be used to register your company's logo or product in advance and detect the registered logo or product from the image. You can also use the product contained in the image to determine what the product is by registering multiple products. In addition, Custom Vision allows you to download your detection models for offline use. Click here for the official website of Custom Vision
Billing System
Custom Vision's billing system is pay-as-you-go and pre-booking for what you use. Detection from images is charged every 1000 times. Separately, you will be charged for the time it takes to learn the images and the storage to store them.
Face API
The Face API can focus on people to identify and detect individuals. For example, it can determine who is included in an image or detect people who are not pre-registered. It can also be used for face recognition to verify identity. Click here for the official website of Face API.
Billing System
The billing structure of the Face API is pay-as-you-go for what you use. - Face registration is defined as 1000 learnings per traction - Face detection is defined as 1 transaction per transaction, each and is charged for every 1000 traces.
Conclusion
In this article, we introduced the visual field of Azure Cognitive Services. The billing system for each service is pay-as-you-go, but if you store files for use in the cloud, you will be charged separately for storage. Colorkrew will provide support in various ways, from PoC to main development using Azure Cognitive Services.
